Description

  • Card size: 7.8 x 11.8cm
  • There are 2 games which can be played with this set of cards, Go Fish and a Fish Memory Game.
  • Go Fish is a fun educational card game for 2 to 4 players, each deck comes with 32 cards with colourful illustrations and detailed instructions.
  • Here’s one way to play Go Fish;
  • 1. Shuffle cards
    2. If two people are playing, each player is dealt 7 cards. If three or four are playing, each player is dealt 5 cards. Place the remaining cards in the deck on the table,
    face down.
    3. Each player removes from his hand all the matching pairs of fish, placing them on the table, face up. (if a player has 3 cards that match , he puts down only 2 of them.)
    4. To begin play. The dealer begins the game. He selects any player and asks that player for a card, naming the card. For instance, the dealer (we’ll call him Joe) asks, “Kate
do you have a whale?” Joe must have in his hand the card that he asks for. If Kate has a whale in her hand, she must give it to Joe. Joe then places his matching pair of whales
on the table. Next Joe asks Kate or any other player for another card in his hand. Joe’s turn continues in this way as long as he keeps making pairs
    5. If Joe asks for a fish that a player does not have, he has to select a card from the deck. If it matches a card in his hand, he places the pair on the table, but does not get another turn.
If he cannot make make a match, he places the card in his hand.
    6. Now it’s the next players turn and he follows the same steps.
    7. When the deck has been completely used, the players continue the game by asking for a card from each other only. For instance, if Joe asks for a card that Kate doesn’t have, he simply loses
his turn, and it’s the next player’s turn to ask.
    8. The game ends when any one player puts down or gives away his last card. Then all the players count their pairs. The player with the most pairs wins the game.
  • Here’s how to play the Fish Memory Game – it is for 2 or more players.
  • This is a great game to play with the entire family to see who has the best memory.
  • 1. Spread all the cards on the table, face down.
    2. Let’s pretend that Joe is the first player. Joy turns over any 2 cards. If they match, Joe keeps them,
and then turns over 2 more cards. Joe’s turn continues until he turns over 2 cards that do not match, let’s say, for instance,
a dolphin and an octopus. Joe turns these cards face down again.
    3. All the players try to remember where the dolphin and octopus are.
    4. Now it’s Kate’s turn. Kate turns over an octopus. If her memory is working, she finds the octopus that Joe turned up and makes a pair and she gets another turn.
    5. Now let’s say Kate turns over a snail and a dolphin. She turns these cards face down. If the next player's memory is working, he will remember where Joe’s dolphin is
and Kate’s and make a match!
    6. The game ends when all the cards have been matched. Th player with the most pairs wins!
